A 23-Year Web Agency (Now Retired From Clients)
We built websites before most businesses even knew they needed one.
From the early days of HTML to modern frameworks, our work evolved alongside the internet itself—always focused on practical systems, creative solutions, and long-term results.
A Brief Timeline
- 1996 — Built my first HTML website and software application
- 1999 — Began working with referred clients
- 2006 — Who Defines You website launched
- 2007 — Early WordPress development (before its public release)
- 2015 — Won a Publishing Award
- 2018 — WooCommerce development and maintenance
- 2019 — Retired from client work to solely focus on internal projects
For over two decades, every project came through referrals. No ads. No cold outreach. Just trust, relationships, and results.
Why It Was Referral-Only
I never chased clients.
The work came from people who valued it—and that made all the difference.
It allowed us to focus on what mattered:
doing great work for the right people.
Why It Ended
After twenty-three years, I chose to close this chapter and focus on only my projects.
Not because the work disappeared—but because my focus changed.
I’m now dedicated to writing, teaching, and sharing what I’ve learned about building a fulfilling life.
What Remains
Who Defines You stands as a record of a long career on the web and the relationships that made it possible.
Where to Go Next
Today, my work continues in a different form:
Some things are meant to grow.
Others are meant to be completed.
This was one of them.
