Creating an awesome password

I just wanted to write a little note on how to create an awesome password.

I had to change my main master password recently. It’s the one password that I have memorized. I use it to on LastPass.com which stores most of my passwords I use on the Internet.

I use diceware to create a long random passphrase, not password. It’s five words long.

First goto Diceware.com and get the complete list. Then use 5 dice to create a five digit number. If you don’t have dice handy you can goto http://www.random.org/dice/?num=5 and generate the numbers that way.

Follow the instructions on Diceware.com and you got yourself an awesome passphrase.
